"description": "This WAD contains a single, challenging map designed entirely within the DOOM2 environment. The level features a symmetric four-quadrant layout centered around a large room with an elevated cross-shaped lift, creating a complex and disorienting floorplan. Key hunting is essential, with significant encounters including a mandatory Cyberdemon fight in the yellow key area, which also houses powerful weapons like the BFG and plasma rifle. The map emphasizes careful exploration and strategic progression, with tricky platforming sections and key-dependent doors that can trap the player. Resource balance is tight due to the high difficulty, and the theme is consistent with DOOM2's hellish and industrial textures. The level supports both single-player and multiplayer modes and is compatible with vanilla DOOM2.",

Sebastian\nEmail Address : Ballistiks@aol.com\nMisc. Author Info : I live in Cinti. OH., married (still !) - a tribute\n\t\t\t to her patience, three girls - two are \"fair\" at the\n\t\t\t game..., enjoy the creative possibilities of level\n\t\t\t construction.\n================================================================\n\n\t\t ---> BDS3.exe should contain these files:\n\n\t\t\t BDS3.wad (level)\n\t\t\t BDS3DEMO.lmp (demo)\n\t\t\t READBDS3.txt (this file!)\n\nDescription : This is the third level I've dreamed up (Get\n\t\t\t BDS1.exe (DOOM) and BDS2.exe (DOOM2) if you\n\t\t\t haven't already!). This is my first level totally\n\t\t\t conceived within the DOOM2 environment... hope you\n\t\t\t enjoy it!\n\n\t\t\t This is not as large a level as my first two, but it\n\t\t\t is very challenging. The \"floorplan\" is basically\n\t\t\t a symetric four quadrant design, and as such - easy\n\t\t\t to get disoriented in. The center (which is where\n\t\t\t you begin in both single player and multi-player) is\n\t\t\t a large room divided into 4 areas by an elevated\n\t\t\t \"cross\" that is actually a lift. Each of the four\n\t\t\t center sections open into rooms which contain\n\t\t\t goodies - at a price. Further exploration of the\n\t\t\t area will find access to keys and surprises !\n\n\t\t\t If you find yourself in the yellow key area, you\n\t\t\t will HAVE to face the Cyberdemon (my personal\n\t\t\t favorite) before escaping with the yellow key (the\n\t\t\t exception being on lower difficulty levels). The\n\t\t\t yellow key door (off the center room lift) is\n\t\t\t tricky - beware...you can get in, BUT NOT OUT\n\t\t\t without the yellow key ! This is where you'll find\n\t\t\t the BFG and plasma rifle... You CAN exit the level\n\t\t\t without going into the \"yellow key area\", but, I\n\t\t\t hope there are no cowardly marines in this outfit !!\n\n\t\t\t My advice is to get the blue key first, because if\n\t\t\t you get to the \"wooden room\" and successfully make\n\t\t\t the \"jumps\" to get to the blue key door, and DON'T\n\t\t\t have the blue key - you're screwed. This, however,\n\t\t\t makes for interesting multiplayer play... One trick\n\t\t\t for successfully navigating the wooden room - make\n\t\t\t your way to the two overlook doorways, and time\n\t\t\t a couple of rockets so that you get the Revenant and\n\t\t\t Baron shooting at each other. It will save you ammo\n\t\t\t and is an interesting vantage point for them duking\n\t\t\t it out! (Check out the demo...)\n\n\t\t\t There ARE some secret areas. One, I call the cave -\n\t\t\t is pretty big, and you can get the chainsaw as well\n\t\t\t as dead there. Try to find it - I hint at it in the\n\t\t\t demo. If you like to go for 100% secrets, try to\n\t\t\t find the \"hidden Revenant\". If you do, he'll\n\t\t\t surprise YOU !\n\n\t\t\t I had deathmatch in mind with this level. Use the\n\t\t\t lifts and transporters to set up ambushes. Deathmatch\n\t\t\t 2.0 will insure plenty of ammo, etc. (I recommend\n\t\t\t the \"No Monsters\" flag from either the command line\n\t\t\t or Death Manager shell - much better for Deathmatch,\n\t\t\t and it runs faster...)\n\n\t\t\t I'll not say anymore - now hop to it! ...and save\n\t\t\t your game often... (The save game bug I got a\n\t\t\t couple of complaints from in my previous BDS2 -\n\t\t\t \"The Phantom\" level is not present in this level).\n\n\t\t\t As with The Kicker and The Phantom, my best advice\n\t\t\t is to KEEP MOVING!\n\n\t\t\t* To play \"FourPlay\":\n\n\t\t\t With the BDS3.wad file in the DOOM2 directory type:\n\n\t\t\t\tdoom2 -file bds3.wad\n\n\t\t\t Choose a difficulty setting of your choice.\n\n\t\t\t If you would like a \"tour\", please help yourself\n\t\t\t to the demo I've included. I'll show you SOME of\n\t\t\t the secrets... To run the demo, with BDS3.wad AND\n\t\t\t BDS3DEMO.lmp in your DOOM2 directory type:\n\n\t\t\t\tdoom2 -file bds3.wad -playdemo bds3demo\n\n\t\t\t (This demo was created using DOOM2, version 1.9 -\n\t\t\t it will not play when running a previous version)\n\nAdditional Credits to : Makers of DEU, and all the creative minds out there\n\t\t\t making cool levels, ----------------\n\t\t\t -------> and of course: | ID Software. |\n\t\t\t\t\t\t ----------------\n\t\t\t {I sure wish there was a BSP2 - hint, hint...}\n\n\t\t\t Jim Flynn for the \"Linedef Type\" decimal codes,\n\t\t\t which enables use of the fast doors, lifts, etc.\n\n================================================================\n\n* Play Information *\n\nEpisode and Level # : M1\nSingle Player : Yes\nCooperative 2-4 Player : Yes\nDeathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes\nDifficulty Settings : Yes\nNew Sounds : No\nNew Graphics : No\nNew Music : No\nDemos Replaced : Demo of this level provided\n\n* Construction *\n\nBase : New level from scratch\nEditor(s) used : DEU2\nKnown Bugs : None\nBuild Time : 30 hrs +/- some !\n\n* Copyright / Permissions *\n\nYou MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with\nno modifications.
