"description": "A single-map Doom II deathmatch arena built specifically to practice BFG techniques, centered on a compact room with pillars and switch-accessed side features. The layout is small and straightforward, with no keys or teleports, and gameplay revolves around abundant BFGs and cell ammo with a few super shotguns unlocked via switches. Monsters are used as power-up guards rather than as a traditional PvE challenge, featuring high-tier threats like archviles, revenants, a baron, a mancubus, and a cyberdemon depending on skill. Visuals lean toward a mixed brick/rock/metal palette typical of classic Doom II textures.",

Author Info : Author of HELLSLEY.WAD for DOOM I. Check out\n the swimming pool and hanging cages!\n\nDescription : This WAD was inspired by the BFG FAQ by Tony Fabris.\n It is a deathmatch WAD designed to help you\n exercise the deathmatch BFG techniques described\n therein. Everyone should read it for their safety\n and protection :).\n\n* Important * See Recommended settings below in the Play section.\n\n This WAD is a room with pillars. The BFG is the only\n obviously available weapon. Super shotguns and\n sniper points are accessible through 5 switches.\n Power-ups are guarded by monsters (and not those\n imp/demon fluffy ones). Through judicious use of\n RMB, the monsters will only attack when 1) they\n see someone getting a power-up or 2) they are\n awakened by a stray shot. They are nevertheless\n trapped until released by one of the 5 switches\n mentioned above. Seems complicated; its easy to\n play & more fun than it sounds.\n\nAdditional Credits to : Tony Fabris for the BFG FAQ - required reading\n Jens Hykkelbjerg for RMB - thank him for the effects\n Antony Burden & Simon Oke for DETH - it rocks\n Raphael Quinet for DETH meat & bones\n Colin Reed for BSP - keeps the computer busy while\n I refill my beer, and it WORKS.\n Mark 'The Victim' Barr for being such great frag bait.\n\n================================================================\n\n* Play Information *\n\nGame : DOOM II\nEpisode and Level # : MAP 02\nSingle Player : No except for practice and looking around.\nCooperative 2-4 Player : No but it becomes this when you loose the Cyberdemon\nDeathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes - may be a little crowded for 4 players.\nDifficulty Settings : Yes NtMr, UV: all power-ups protected\n HMP: Megasphere only protected\n Sissy-poo modes: no monsters (ZZzzz)\nNew Sounds : No\nNew Graphics : No\nNew Music : No\nDemos Replaced : None\n\nRecommended play settings: -altdeath (Deathmatch v2.0)\n -respawn (absolutely required)\n -skill 4 (Ultra Violence)\n -warp 2 (if you want to play this WAD at all)\n\n* Construction *\n\nBase : New level from scratch\nEditor(s) used : DETH 2.65, BSP 1.2x RMB 2.1\nKnown Bugs : There are many thousands of insect species worldwide;\n I'm not going to list them all here.\n\nNotes: The .REJ file is included in the Zip to allow\n you to edit the WAD and restore monster behaviour.\n You need RMB (of course) but also make sure you\n use an editor that doesn't renumber sectors or you\n will need to rewrite the .REJ file. DEU and DETH\n leave sector numbers intact. I believe DCK and\n WADED renumber sectors (I haven't used either\n recently so I may be wrong - it's happened once\n before :D ).\n\n* Copyright / Permissions *\n\nAuthors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels; please\napply appropriate credit.\n\nYou MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with\nno modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic\nformat (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file\nintact.\n\n* Where to get this WAD *\n\nFTP sites: ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames/levels/doom2/deathmatch/bfgfun.zip\n and mirrors\n\nIs it just me or does this look like Richard Nixon: :')"

"title": "Big Funny Gun Fun",
"description": "A compact deathmatch training arena built around pillars and heavy weapon play, with the BFG as the main focus and additional super shotguns gated behind switches. Combat pressure comes from a small set of high-tier monsters (including a cyberdemon and arch-viles) used to guard power-ups, making the space feel dangerous despite the low monster count. On UV it plays as a moderate-to-hard hazard-filled DM/practice map, but it provides lots of cells and multiple BFGs to keep the action constant. Progression is simple (no keys or teleports), centered on switch-triggered access and releases.",
