None of those lame 'pan flute'\n vocals here!\n\nNotes: This levels should be played WITH monsters. There are\n only 4 of them and they are needed to get the full effect\n of the level.\n\nDescription: This is revision C of the first map from ORIGDETH.WAD.\n ORIGDETH.WAD contains four enhanced versions of id Soft\n levels from the original DOOM. This map is identical to\n rev B, which is named ORIGDTHB.WAD, except the name has\n been changed at the request of a couple of different\n people. The two files are completely compatible.\n\n The map features a number of changes from the original\n design, ranging from a more balanced weapons placement,\n to structural changes. All of the main areas now have\n multiple ways in and out; the outdoor area has 4 ways,\n including two vertical walls that you can climb!\n\n The main focus of this map is the Archvile trap and\n the trap control room. The trap control room has a\n number of wall switches and floor mounted kick switches\n which are used to control the trap. It is positioned\n above the trap, so that anyone in there will have a\n good view of the trap area and can also see when somone\n is coming for him.\n\n The trap works by kicking the green floor switch when\n the prospective victim walks into the trap area (which\n they usually have to do, since it's in the middle of a\n bridge surrounded by acid). This will cause a ring of\n waist high posts to instantly spring from the ground,\n surrounding the victim. The next stage of the trap\n uses the wall mounted switch that looks like a demon's\n face. This will instantly lower 4 archviles, all of\n them facing the victim(s) in the trap. The archviles\n will NOT attack anyone in the control room; note that\n the victim(s) in the trap still can shoot up there,\n tho. Once the archviles have done their deed, the\n switch next to the demon switch will raise them back\n to the safe positions and the red kick switch will\n lower the posts, completely hiding the trap for the\n next victim.\n\n There's a switch near the teleporter that will lower\n it back down. In the event that the person in the trap\n control room gets killed while the trap is open and the\n archviles are blasting the crap out of everyone trying\n to get past that area, there is an emergency shutoff\n switch in the corridor behind the control room.\n\n The extra green kick switch is used to raise the\n teleporter in the outside area out of reach. That\n teleporter is often used to flush a person out of the\n control room, since if you fire a rocket just before\n entering it, there's a good chance that it will hit\n the person in the control room when it teleports ahead\n of you.
