Combat is punchy rather than sprawling, mixing lots of imps with a handful of serious threats including multiple cyberdemons plus an arch-vile and other bosses. For a typical UV run it plays moderate-to-hard depending on how the boss monsters are positioned, but the loadout is very generous (BFGs, plasma, rockets, and strong health/armor).
