Author Info : His eyeballs taste purple.\n\nDescription : The third and final part of my solo megawad.\n Part 3 of 'Jenesis' adds 12 extra maps to the\n first twenty (which have all also been modified\n for the better in some way or another) and\n replaces the final map, as its predecessor did.\n\n 'Jenesis' is a 32-level megawad for Boom,\n complete with a new final boss, a new monster,\n new status bar graphics and a recolored message\n font.\n\n The aim of this project was mainly to hone my\n skills in traditional Doom level design, but it\n was also to create a presentable set of maps\n which pulled inspiration from the great megawads\n like the Memento Mori duology, Hell Revealed,\n Alien Vendetta, Requiem and Scythe. These are\n just some of the mapsets out there that Jenesis\n pays homage to, thematically.\n\n This is the megawad's final release. In total it\n has taken about one year and one month of hard\n mapping, bugtesting and procrastination to\n complete. :P\n\nAdditional Credits to : - My beta testers, Mechadon, MegaDoomer,\n\t\t\t hawkwind, [WH]-Wilou84 and Anima Zero.\n - My brother Ben (aka \"Baratus\") and cousin Paul\n who also beta\n-tested. :)\n - Many musicians whose work I've used in this\n project, and whom I've credited below.\n - TheCupboard and worst-vd-plas, for the modified\n zombie marine monster from their WAD, The Great\n Bicycle Mystery 2. Twisting\n corridors and vast rocky arenas filled with pools of toxic slime\n characterize this map. This once habitable locale is now a\n breeding ground for demons. Expect tricks and traps aplenty. Somewhat\n inspired by Alien Vendetta's middle episode, and Plutonia. Uses Doom\n 1's E4 sky.\n\nMAP15 - Alchemy\n : Music - \"Voyage I (Edit)\" by James \"Jimmy\" Paddock\n : Par Time - 2:40\n : Build Time - 3 days (?)\n\n : A massive extraction facility set on a large liquid gold mine. Full\n of hazards, particularly due to the molten gold stored liberally\n throughout the facility. Uses Doom 1's E4 sky.\n\nMAP16 - Crestfallen\n : Music - \"Cliff\" (Edit) by Stuart \"Forty-Two\" Rynn\n : Par Time - 2:45\n : Build Time - 2 days\n\n : A generator complex. What it's generating is unclear, but you have to\n get through it in order to reach the path to the overtaken gateway.\n\nMAP17 - Deadline\n : Music - \"Prototype\" by James Paddock and Stuart Rynn (collaboration)\n : Par Time - 2:10\n : Build Time - 12 hours\n\n : Back underground again - and it's a defective tram network underneath\n the generator complex. Because it's totally out of order, it looks\n like you'll have to take a largely non-linear route to the exit.\n No sky.\n\nMAP18 - Mineshaft\n : Music - \"Airport Chant\" by James \"Jimmy\" Paddock\n : Par Time - 3:20\n : Build Time - 2 days\n\n : Further underground, but not far from the gateway now. Fight your way\n through these weaving mines but be prepared for some hazardous terrain.\n No sky.\n\nMAP19 - Subterranean Labs\n : Music - \"In Space\" by Stuart \"Forty-Two\" Rynn\n : Par Time - 1:50\n : Build Time - 1 day\n\n : This infested underground laboratory is crawling with monsters, and the\n lava-filled caverns will certainly not help your escape. No sky.\n\nMAP20 - Into The Gate\n : Music - \"Duke's Domain\" by Jenna Ramsey\n : Par Time - 2:40\n : Build Time - 12 hours\n\n : A big gateway control complex on Deimos, positively overrun by\n demon swarms. Expect a lot of resistance. The gateway technicians\n have been possessed by demons, and they appear as a new enemy. Very\n much inspired by E2 and Plutonia's MAP23. Uses Doom 1's E2 sky.\n\nMAP21 - The Other Side\n : Music - \"Deevine\" by Xaser Acheron\n : Par Time - 0:40\n : Build Time - 6 hours\n\n : A very small Scythe 2-inspired map, serving as the introduction to the\n Hell episode. Mud and blood everywhere. Uses Doom 1's E4 sky.\n\nMAP22 - Haunted Halls\n : Music - \"Bassline\" by Mark Klem\n : Par Time - 2:25\n : Build Time - 1 day\n\n : A ghostly marble and brick fortress inhabited by some pretty strong\n hellspawn - hope you're well-prepared. Uses a custom sky by Mechadon.\n\nMAP23 - The Atrium\n : Music - \"Distant Tranquility\" by James \"Jimmy\" Paddock\n : Par Time - 2:40\n : Build Time - 3 hours (plus all fixes)\n\n : A hellish stone castle on the outskirts of hell, surrounded by a\n huge moat of molten lava and guarded by a veritable army of\n hellspawn. Dark corridors, treacherous walkways and trap after\n trap await. Once again, large moats of\n lava are abound, and hellspawn stalk every nook and cranny of the area.\n Uses ravagefox's Doom 1 E3/E4 sky combo.\n\nMAP25 - The Carcass Pit\n : Music - \"Going Nowhere\" by Revenant\n : Par Time - 1:20\n : Build Time - 1.5 days\n\n : You're not out of the rocky peaks yet - you'll have to brave a huge\n slaughtering ground first. Here's where things start to get pretty\n hectic. Uses Memento Mori's E2 sky.\n\nMAP26 - The Savage Abyss\n : Music - \"Song in the Key of TNT\" by Jamie Robertson\n : Par Time - 4:30\n : Build Time - 14 hours STRAIGHT\n\n : A great yawning chasm set in the center of Hell itself, the\n surroundings of which are caked in lava, fire, marble, and infested\n with hellspawn. This is the boss map, as it were - it's\n unquestionably the hardest (and largest) map in the whole set.\n Uses a modified (and hopefully -improved-) version of TNT's E2 sky.\n\nMAP27 - The Vulcanum\n : Music - \"Fallen\" by Simone Mularoni / 'Symphony X'\n : Par Time - 3:30\n : Build Time - TOO LONG\n\n : A massive hellish gauntlet - a bathing hole for demons. This map has\n slaughterfest written all over it (mainly because it's Scythe-inspired)\n and very little ground is available, so you'd better be careful.\n\nMAP28 - Baphomet's Keep\n : Music - \"The Greater Good\" by Stuart \"Forty-Two\" Rynn\n : Par Time - 3:50\n : Build Time - A few days\n\n : This looks like where Baphomet and the worst of his legions are hiding.\n Storm the castle and kill that bastard for all time! Uses Plutonia's E2\n sky.\n\nMAP29 - Mutant Jenesis\n : Music - \"Moonlight Bloodbath\" by Henri \"Icytux\" Vuortenvirta\n : Par Time - 3:00\n : Build Time - Way too long\n\n : With Baphomet destroyed, you are catapulted back to Phobos.\n Unfortunately your return is not a welcome one.
