This is useful because the shotgun\ntakes several seconds to fully load, and you may find yourself under attack and need to react quickly. Simply press the\nreload button again, and you will ready the shotgun with the current number of shells in it. This is the only weapon\nwhich behaves in the this manner.\n\n\tYou'll want to refer back to your mission objectives and any notes you collect during your mission in order to\nfigure out what you're supposed to be doing next. There is no in-game automap (the automap is blanked, so you won't see\nanything even if you re-bind the automap key), but the levels are all logically arranged, without any mazes designed to\nfrustrate you. If you get really stuck, it might help to look at the notes you find. Some notes will contain hints about\nwhat you might want to look for, and later in the game you MUST read several of the notes in order to progress in the\nstory.\n\tEven though many notes are not essential to completing your mission, they will give you a look at the deeper story\nof the game. If you're curious about what's going on, you might want to take the time to read through the notes you find.\n\n\tBecause most of the missions are set up as a hub, you can move freely between the levels. You may find that you\nneed to travel to different maps in order to stock up on ammo. You may also need to gather items from or perform tasks in\nanother map in order to continue on in another map. Your objectives display will always tell you what tasks you need to\nperform in order to advance in your mission.\n\n\tThe gameplay in CAH is somewhat different than regular Doom. You move a little slower, have half as much health,\nwill start bleeding at low health, carry less ammo, and have no armor. However, enemies also have dramatically lower\nhealth. You also have to reload weapons, and can carry bandages to temporarily stop bleeding. These changes alter the\npace of the game to be a little different than that of Doom. It also means that enemies will go down a lot easier than\nin Doom, but you really have to watch yourself because you can be killed much more easily.\n\n* Construction *\n\nBase : New levels from scratch.\nEditor(s) used : Zeth, Doom Builder\nResource Editor(s) uses : XWE, various sound, music, and graphics programs.\nBuild time : A little less than a year from idea to finish.\nKnown Bugs : People have been having real problems with FPS here.
