"contents": "TOON2B - 32 single-player levels for Doom II v1.9\n\nThis is a slightly updated version of TOON2.ZIP\n\nOriginal author: David (Pepe) Hopkins 2 odd1@wport.com\nVersion 'B' Update: Sparky of KISS Software kelm@eisa.net.au\n\nMods made by Sparky of KISS Software:\n- converted the DeHackEd patch to Patch Format 6 for compatability with\n many Doom Source Ports (the original used Doom2 v1.666 and DeHackEd\n v2.2).\n- repaired the three textures which were causing the game to crash\n (aliens, bruce and dave).\n- removed all the programs and files for use with 'Plain Vanilla'\n Doom2. There's only 4 files now: toon2b.deh toon2b.wad toon2b.txt\n and manual.wri. Note: this update is aimed at users of Doom Source\n Ports, but if you prefer to use 'Plain Vanilla' Doom2, see the\n instructions below.\n- appended the text file for Tails Doom (tails.txt) to the end of this\n document.\n- rebuilt the wad file - added the correct start/end markers, sorted\n the resources, and cleaned the wad of wasted space.\n- fixed a few texture alignment problems on map01, added missing exit\n switch on map02, added door tracks to map03, rebuilt the nodes on\n all 32 maps to remove some HOM errors.\n- removed the \"finished\" text from the end-of-level screen (it covered\n the stats due to the large level-name graphics).\n- added a little lmp demo of MAP01 using 'Plain Vanilla' Doom2 v1.9\n The demo also tested okay with:\n Boom v2.02, PrBoom v2.02, MBF v2.03 and PrjDoom v0.1\n The demo did not work with:\n ZDoom v1.22 and Legacy v1.30\n\nTo play TOONS2 with 'Plain Vanilla' Doom2:\n- create a replacement .exe file using toon2.deh and DeHackEd v3.1.\n For example: dehacked -load toon2.deh\n- add the extra sprite graphics to toon2.wad using a program such as\n DeuSF, WinTex, NWT, etc.\n For example: deusf -as toon2.wad\n\nA MUCH better option is to use a Doom Source Port that can import\nDeHackEd patches and pwads containing sprite graphics, such as:\nBoom, PrBoom, MBF, PrjDoom, ZDoom, Legacy, etc. Patching is not\nrequired with these ports, just load the files as-is.
