      "title": "Lego Base",
      "description": "Lego Base is a single-map WAD designed for vanilla Doom 2, featuring a unique Lego-themed environment with custom graphics. The map is intended for single-player and cooperative play, with a recommended difficulty of Ultra Violence. Combat involves a balanced monster presence suitable for standard Doom 2 gameplay, without requiring advanced source ports. The level is linear and built from scratch, emphasizing exploration within a compact scale. Resources and enemy placement support a moderate challenge, and the visual style is distinct due to the Lego-inspired textures and flats.",

All the neccessary textures and flats are included\nin this wad.\n\nI've tried to make this level challenging from the outset. Most of the\nplaytesters initially felt the beginning was too difficult, but once\nthey ventured further into the map they all agreed that \"it felt 'right'\nin terms of balance\".\n\nI've toned things down slightly for the lower skill levels.\nThere will be a bit more health and ammo, maybe fewer monsters in\nplaces, but it should still be a challenge of sorts.\n\nThis map was designed for vanilla doom2. However, there is an enhanced\nversion of this map (legob-sp.wad), containing some of Tom Cruickshank's\nlego sprites, available from 'source port doom' section of my website at.....\n\n\thttp://www.duellist.net\n\nA section of this map was removed after early playtesting because it\nwas felt it was too different from the established style of the level.\nThis removed section has been reworked slightly and is available as a\nsmall single player level entitled 'Deleted Scene 2' (deleted2.wad).\nYou'll find this in the Doom2 section of my website (see the URL above).\n\nThe music replacement is E2M1 from Doom.\n\nThe lego tree images and the menu skull were taken from Tom Cruickshank's\nlego sprites wad and have been used with permission.\n\n-Russell Pearson (5th April 2002)\n\nemail: rddp@duellist.net"
