Author Info : Doom fanatic\n\t\t\t Danish redneck (yep, I still is)!?\n\t\t DOOM2 level designer for 1½ year\n \t\t Hard Core Sci-Fi enthusiast (Nothing new, though)\n\t\t\t I hate Trey on MTV Europe\n\t\t\t Hard Core coffee drunkard\n\t\t\t I loathe V.I.P. starring Pamela \"Hooters\" Lee\n\t\t\t Sandra Bullock is beautiful\n\n================================================================\nDescription/story : After saving the Earth from Hell´s most\n\t\t\t\t gruesome spawn, you suddenly found yourself\n\t\t\t\t in the unpleasent situation of being the\n\t\t\t\t center of the universe, and was very fast overrun\n\t\t\t\t by eager and irritating journalists from all\n\t\t\t\t over the world. Being famous was not really\n\t\t\t\t your wildest dream. The psychological presure\n\t\t\t\t got too high -even higher than being blasted\n\t\t\t\t 20 feet across a room by an incoming rocket-\n\t\t\t\t and you needed to escape; escape the boring\n\t\t\t\t and stressing real world. You asked the\n\t\t\t\t remaining management of the UAC to find you\n\t\t\t \t a hard job among ordinary people, who had not\n\t\t\t\t really had much contact to the outside world\n \t\t\t\t through the last few years, so that you could\n\t\t\t\t put your past behind you and occupy yourself\n\t\t\t\t with something totally different than blasting\n\t\t\t\t monster limbs through a hallway. Luckyly a mine\n\t\t\t\t in the mountains was going to be expanded by\n\t\t\t\t drilling from the west side of a mountain towards\n\t\t\t\t the excisting east mine. They needed new workers\n\t\t\t\t and you were given a job. Even though the UAC\n\t\t\t\t could not really understand what a highly decora-\n\t\t\t\t ted and famous marine (and world saviour) wanted\n\t\t\t\t in a dirty ol´ mine. However they let you go and\n\t\t\t\t gave you the job. The work was everything you\n\t\t\t\t needed: solitude, dirty talking and hard sweaty\n\t\t\t\t work.\n\n\t\t\t\t After a couple of weeks, which fully satisfied\n\t\t\t\t your needs, you notised that the Employer always\n\t\t\t\t carried a red key on him and he never left it out\n\t\t\t \t of sight, much to your suspicion.\n\t\t\t\t And sometimes he used it to access the control room\n\t\t\t\t in the mines. That was not really the weird thing,\n\t\t\t\t the weird thing was the secret door you once saw him\n\t\t\t\t enter!\n\t\t\t\t And how come the east mine was a restricted area.\n\t\t\t\t Something was going on behind these rocky walls and\n\t\t\t\t it was not digging.\n \t\t\t\t This mine was not only a bit of lava and a rusty drill.\n\n\t\t\t\t One day, when you were out breathing some fresh air,\n\t\t\t\t a terrible and thundering quake shivered the earth\n\t\t\t\t under your feet and numerous screams reached you from\n\t\t\t\t within the mine. Something was very wrong, very very\n\t\t\t\t wrong.\n\n\t\t\t\t You grap your sidearm and cannot help relating\n\t\t\t\t your present feelings to past experiences.\n\t\t\t \t And now you come to think of it, you once heard from\n\t\t\t\t a drunk security guard from the UAC, at one of the\n\t\t\t\t numerous parties celebrating your heroic homecoming,\n\t\t\t\t that the UAC were still conducting the same experiments,\n\t\t\t\t which lead to the alien invasion of Earth, at some moun-\n\t\t\t\t tain top in the desert. Of course he was drunk, so you\n\t\t\t\t took no notice of his babbling. However, now it all made\n\t\t\t\t sence. YOU were on THAT mountain.\n\n\t\t\t\t And it is a cooinsidence the fact that YOU are on that\n\t\t\t\t mountain sent there by that UAC?\n\t\t\t\t Does the east mine at all exist?\n\n\t\t\t\t Whatever the answer might be, a closer look might\n\t\t\t\t be the only thing left to do.\n\t\t\t\t And actually, you were getting bored with working a\n\t\t\t\t drill and a shovel. The silent, but steady sound of\n\t\t\t \t growling and mumbling makes you silently, yet firm and\n\t\t\t \t determined say to yourself:\n\t\t\t\t \"Lets make that trigger hot again...\"\n\n================================================================\n\nPlay notes: My eleventh wad.\n\t\t\t \t Made for Final Doom: Evilution\n\n\t\t\t\t P.S. The level is best played in 640x480 from\n\t\t\t\t the DOOM95 launcher from WIN 32 bit. The shading\n\t\t\t \t looks best in this mode.\n\n\t\t\t\t Aaaannnd......You really must try playing Zdoom\n\t\t\t\t or GlDoom! YOU SIMPLY MUST! That s... really\n\t\t\t\t gives the game a kick in the a..! Pheeew!\n\t\t\t\t The screenshot(-s) for this level are taken in\n\t\t\t\t Zdoom.\n\n\t\t\t\t A rather large level. Tech, high/low, changing areas\n\t\t\t\t and very close to TNT´s own levels in Evilution.\n\t\t\t\t I believe that you can use all sorts of different\n \t\t\t\t textures and still keep a logical and harmonic\n\t\t\t\t feeling in the level without destroying it. It goes\n\t\t\t\t especially for a level like this where it has to\n\t\t\t\t look manmade. However, I have not used ALL textures!\n\t\t\t\t Skulls on a marble wall and red hot stonewalls does\n\t\t\t \t not really go well together with computerscreens and\n\t\t\t\t techlights!\n\n\t\t\t\t Note how I have chosen to make the exit! "description": "A fairly large, TNT/Evilution-style techbase with industrial corridors and rocky/mine-like sections, using lots of metal and support textures with some slime/lava accents. Combat leans hitscanner-heavy (many shotgunners and chaingunners) with a handful of mid-tiers plus a single arch-vile to keep you moving. For UV, difficulty reads moderate thanks to solid weapon coverage (SSG, rockets, plasma) and ample ammo and healing. Progression revolves around all three keys with some teleport-driven navigation rather than a straight shot to the exit.",
