I put a fair amount of time into\nthis thing and I hope you like it as much I do. And a note before you go on:\nthis wad file was created with the graphics from Claude Martins SWLSABER patch\nfor the original DOOM. All I did was add sound and convert it for use with\nDOOM 2. I would like to thank Mr. Martins for his work and his help in\nteaching me how this stuff works.\n\n****************************************************************************\nDISCLAIMER\n\nThis wad file is not a product of Id, anything that may happen from this\nprogram is not their responsibility, and they will NOT give technical\nsupport for it.\n\nI am not liable for any damage(s) this wad file may cause to you hardware or\nsoftware--but I don't think you should worry too much.\n\nThis wad file is not under any warantee of any kind. This wad file was tested\non a computer with the requirements for DOOM, and is not guaranteed to work on\nanything more or less, regardless of whether or not DOOM does work on your\ncomputer.\n\nLEGAL STUFF\n\nDOOM 2 is a copyright of ID Software.\n\n****************************************************************************\nTo run Doom ][ with the lightsaber:\n\n-Unzip saber.zip to the directory where Doom 2 is located\n-Run saberbld.bat (this will build the saber wad file)\n-If you want, you can delete the saberbld.bat, saberaw.wad, and deusf.exe files\n-make sure the saber.wad file in the directory where Doom 2 is located on\n your hard drive (or another directory of your choice), and run doom2.exe with\n the -file parameter\n\nC:\\DOOM2\\doom2 -file saber.wad\n or\nC:\\DOOM2\\doom2 -file c:\\dir\\saber.wad\n (where \"DOOM2\" is the directory where Doom 2 is and \"dir\" is\n where the saber.wad file is.)\n\n****************************************************************************\n\nOn the off chance that you'd like a patch that installs the graphics\ndirectly into the doom2.wad (it can also remove them if you so choose), I\nhave saberpat.zip available upon request.\nIf you liked this one, or even if you didn't, I also have another\nweapon replacement for Doom ][ (in both wad and patch form) that puts the\nLightning Gauntlet from Heretic (also by id software) in for the chainsaw. It\nshould be up in AOL's library soon so you might want to look for it.\nAlmost all of the credit goes to Claude Martins for the excellent\ngraphics. Some credit also goes to GFXArtisan. His Laser Doom2 patch provided\nme with the idea and understanding of the whole process (you might want to d/l\nit and check it out--it's pretty cool; it can be found in AOL's software\nlibrary).\nThanks to the boys at id software and to you for tryin' this thing out.\nFeel free to e-mail me with questions or comments at EISS9@aol.com"
